Thermocouple to PWM for fan, high-side switched, with OLED display

The W181A-P501 measures the temperature with a type K thermocouple and uses it to drive two PWM outputs, high-side switched. Between an adjustable start and end temperature, the output rises evenly from the minimum to the maximum. Because a thermocouple also measures high temperatures, the module suits cooling fans at furnaces, exhausts and hot machine parts. Settings are made on the OLED display.

Setup

Connect the supply, the thermocouple and the fan according to the wiring diagram supplied with the module.
Set the start and end temperature on the display.
Set the output minimum and maximum and store the settings.

Letting a cooling fan at a furnace or exhaust follow the temperature

W181 series: compact modules with OLED display and Wi-Fi

The modules in the W181 series are compact and fit on a DIN rail. They have an OLED display and push buttons, so they can be set up without a computer and show the current values. A DIP switch on the board fixes basic choices. Software updates are loaded through the USB-C port and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. The modules run on 24 V DC. Extensions are possible on request, such as an extra relay output, a different sensor input or a bus connection.
