The PR515x503 measures the temperature with a type K thermocouple, with cold-junction compensation on the module, and passes it on as 4-20 mA and as 0-10 V. A thermocouple also measures high temperatures, such as in exhaust gases, furnaces and combustion processes. Which temperature corresponds to the start and the end of the output is set on the OLED display.

Setup

Connect the supply, the thermocouple and the outputs according to the wiring diagram supplied with the module.
When connecting, observe the plus and minus of the thermocouple and use type K extension cable.
On the display, choose the temperature at 4 mA and at 20 mA (and with it at 0 and 10 V) and store with SAVE.

Passing the exhaust gas temperature of an engine or generator on to a control system
Measuring furnace or drying temperature with a PLC with a 4-20 mA or 0-10 V input
Connecting an existing thermocouple to a controller without a thermocouple input

PR515 series: controllers and converters with OLED display

The modules in the PR515 series have an OLED display and push buttons, so they can be set up without a computer and show the current values of inputs and outputs. They run on 12 and 24 V DC systems. Most versions can be extended on request, for example with an extra relay output, a PWM output, a bus connection (CAN bus or Modbus) or a different sensor input.
