Modules

Dimmers for Nirolo and Olorin displays

These modules dim several Nirolo or Olorin displays at once with a single control. The PR202 (three displays) and PR205 (eight displays) are for displays with rotary-knob control: the displays are connected with standard UTP cables (not crossover) and operated with the rotary knob supplied with the display or with external push buttons. The PR517 (two displays) and PR507 (five displays) are for displays with potentiometer control: they convert one potentiometer into two or five galvanically isolated potentiometer outputs, 10 kΩ as standard and 5, 50 or 100 kΩ on request. The PR202 and PR205 run on 9 to 30 V DC, the PR507 and PR517 on 7 to 36 V DC, all four at -25 to 55 °C, non-condensing. Setup is done in the menu on the module; store changes with SAVE.

PR142 series: PWM dimmers for LED and halogen

The dimmers in the PR142 series convert a potentiometer or a pulse contact into a PWM output, low-side or high-side switched, for dimming LED and halogen lighting. They run on 9 to 30 V DC, so on 12 and 24 V DC systems, deliver up to 5 A at 122 Hz and are suitable for an ambient temperature of 0 to 80 °C. The modules measure 45 x 82 mm. If you need galvanic isolation between input, output or supply, please contact us.

PR172: linear, without PWM

The PR172 modules regulate linearly, without PWM and without a switching regulator. They therefore cause no electromagnetic interference, which makes them suitable for environments with strict electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements. A linear regulator gets warm under heavy load: install the module in a well-ventilated space. Supply 24 V DC (±20 %); dimensions 115 x 120 x 68 mm.

PR181 series: signal conditioners with display

The modules in the PR181 series are set up on the display on the module, using the UP, DOWN and OK buttons. On most versions the lower and upper limits of input and output are set independently, as is the rise and fall rate of the output; the settings of each module are listed on the product page under Setup. With an adjustable rise and fall rate, motors, pumps, valves and hydraulics can be driven smoothly. On versions with an analogue output, that output is galvanically isolated from input and supply to prevent ground loops. New settings are stored through the SAVE menu. The standard DIN rail enclosure measures 45 x 83 mm (board 42.6 x 72 mm); versions with more terminals are wider. Most modules run on 9 to 30 V DC at -25 to 55 °C, non-condensing.

For some conversions there is also a version without display and without galvanic isolation in the PR100 series: it is set up with push buttons and runs on 12 and 24 V DC (operating range 11 to 30 V DC). Where one exists, it is listed on the product page under Other version.

PR804 series: dimmers with adjustable limits and dimming speed

The dimmers in the PR804 series convert a potentiometer, a 4-20 mA or 0-10 V signal or a pulse contact into a PWM output for LED and halogen lighting. Lower limit, upper limit and output speed are set with the potentiometers on the module. The dimming curve is adjustable too, so that LED lighting responds linearly to the control. Low-side switched, the lamp is connected between terminal 1 and terminal 2; high-side switched, between terminal 2 and terminal 6. All versions run on 9 to 30 V DC, deliver up to 5 A at 120 Hz and are suitable for an ambient temperature of 0 to 80 °C. The DIN rail enclosure measures 45 x 83 mm (board 42.5 x 72 mm). If you need galvanic isolation between input, output or supply, please contact us.
