The PR515x506 measures the temperature with a PT100 sensor in a 2-, 3- or 4-wire connection and provides the value as a Modbus RTU register on an RS485 bus. This lets a PLC, HMI or building management system read the temperature without an analogue input. The Modbus address and baud rate are set on the OLED display, which also shows the current temperature.

Setup

Connect the supply, the PT100 and the RS485 bus (A and B) according to the wiring diagram supplied with the module.
On the display, set the Modbus address and the baud rate.
Store with SAVE and read the temperature with your PLC or HMI; the register list is supplied with the module.

PR515 series: controllers and converters with OLED display

The modules in the PR515 series have an OLED display and push buttons, so they can be set up without a computer and show the current values of inputs and outputs. They run on 12 and 24 V DC systems. Most versions can be extended on request, for example with an extra relay output, a PWM output, a bus connection (CAN bus or Modbus) or a different sensor input.
