Dimmer for three or eight Nirolo/Olorin displays with rotary-knob control
Article numbers PR202, PR205
The PR202 and PR205 dim three or eight Nirolo or Olorin displays with rotary-knob control at once. They are operated with the Nirolo rotary knob supplied with the display, on the IN port, or with three external push buttons for up, down and OK on terminals 3 to 6. The displays are connected to the OUT1 to OUT3 ports (PR202) or the OUT1 to OUT8 ports (PR205). Potentiometer control is also possible but requires adapted hardware; please contact us for this.

Setup
- Connect the supply to terminal 1 (plus) and terminal 2 (minus).
- Connect the displays to the OUT1 to OUT3 ports (PR202) or the OUT1 to OUT8 ports (PR205) with standard UTP cables (not crossover).
- Rotary-knob control: connect the Nirolo rotary knob supplied with the display to the IN port. Mode is set to 0 as delivered.
- Push-button control: connect the push buttons to terminals 3 (common), 4 (UP), 5 (DOWN) and 6 (OK). In the menu, select Mode, press OK, set the value to 2 with UP and DOWN and confirm with OK.
- If required, adjust Display Dim Speed. A value of 18 works best in practice; with cables longer than 10 m a higher value may be needed so that the dimming signal is slower.
- Other menu items: Manual Dimming (dimming with the buttons on the module), Manual Button Press (operating the display button with the buttons on the module; always finish with 0, otherwise the external button stops working), Display startup dim value (number of pulses that bring the displays to maximum brightness at start-up; a lower value starts faster, but the displays may then not be at maximum brightness), Rotary max LAG (do not change) and Analog MIN and Analog MAX (potentiometer control only).
- Go to the SAVE menu to store the new settings.

Dimmers for Nirolo and Olorin displays
These modules dim several Nirolo or Olorin displays at once with a single control. The PR202 (three displays) and PR205 (eight displays) are for displays with rotary-knob control: the displays are connected with standard UTP cables (not crossover) and operated with the rotary knob supplied with the display or with external push buttons. The PR517 (two displays) and PR507 (five displays) are for displays with potentiometer control: they convert one potentiometer into two or five galvanically isolated potentiometer outputs, 10 kΩ as standard and 5, 50 or 100 kΩ on request. The PR202 and PR205 run on 9 to 30 V DC, the PR507 and PR517 on 7 to 36 V DC, all four at -25 to 55 °C, non-condensing. Setup is done in the menu on the module; store changes with SAVE.
