Article numbers PR507, PR517
The PR517 and PR507 convert one potentiometer into two or five potentiometer outputs, each for a Nirolo or Olorin display with potentiometer control. This lets you dim two or five displays at once with a single knob. The outputs are galvanically isolated from each other, from the input and from the supply to prevent ground loops. For more displays, several modules can be linked to the same potentiometer.

Setup
- Connect the supply to terminal 1 (plus) and terminal 2 (minus).
- Connect the potentiometer to terminals 4 (minus), 5 (signal) and 6 (plus).
- Connect each display to a potentiometer output (terminals 7 to 12 on the PR517, 7 to 21 on the PR507): minus, signal and plus. The module supplies no voltage on the plus terminal; connect the 5 V from the display there.
- Turn the potentiometer fully anticlockwise. In the menu, select Set input min, press OK, select YES and press OK again.
- Turn the potentiometer fully clockwise. Select Set input max, press OK, select YES and press OK again.
- Store the settings: select SAVE, press OK, select YES and press OK again.
- More displays than outputs: connect the other modules in the same way, but without a potentiometer and with terminal 6 left free.
- Link terminals 4 and 5 of all modules together. All modules then follow the same potentiometer.
- Test the operation after installation. Provide a backup control if a failure of the module in a critical system could cause damage or injury.

Dimmers for Nirolo and Olorin displays
These modules dim several Nirolo or Olorin displays at once with a single control. The PR202 (three displays) and PR205 (eight displays) are for displays with rotary-knob control: the displays are connected with standard UTP cables (not crossover) and operated with the rotary knob supplied with the display or with external push buttons. The PR517 (two displays) and PR507 (five displays) are for displays with potentiometer control: they convert one potentiometer into two or five galvanically isolated potentiometer outputs, 10 kΩ as standard and 5, 50 or 100 kΩ on request. The PR202 and PR205 run on 9 to 30 V DC, the PR507 and PR517 on 7 to 36 V DC, all four at -25 to 55 °C, non-condensing. Setup is done in the menu on the module; store changes with SAVE.
