The PR804s07 dims lighting with a single external pulse contact between terminals 4 and 5, through a low-side switched PWM output: the lamp is connected between terminal 1 (supply plus) and terminal 2. The MIN, MAX and SPEED trimmers on the board set the lower limit, upper limit and dimming speed of the output.

Other version: PR142x03. The PR142x03 from the PR142 series also dims with a single pulse contact, is likewise low-side switched and has the same terminal layout. Its PWM frequency is 122 Hz. Do you want to set the lower limit, upper limit and dimming speed yourself, or adjust the dimming curve? Then choose the PR804. Otherwise the PR142 is sufficient.

Setup

Connect the lamp between terminal 1 and terminal 2.
Connect the pulse contact between terminal 4 and terminal 5.
Connect the supply to terminal 1 (plus) and terminal 6 (0 V).
Set the lower limit of the output with the MIN trimmer.
Set the upper limit of the output with the MAX trimmer.
Set the dimming speed with the SPEED trimmer.

Application

Dimming LED and halogen lighting with a single push button, in 12 and 24 V DC systems

PR804 series: dimmers with adjustable limits and dimming speed

The dimmers in the PR804 series convert a potentiometer, a 4-20 mA or 0-10 V signal or a pulse contact into a PWM output for LED and halogen lighting. Lower limit, upper limit and output speed are set with the potentiometers on the module. The dimming curve is adjustable too, so that LED lighting responds linearly to the control. Low-side switched, the lamp is connected between terminal 1 and terminal 2; high-side switched, between terminal 2 and terminal 6. All versions run on 9 to 30 V DC, deliver up to 5 A at 120 Hz and are suitable for an ambient temperature of 0 to 80 °C. The DIN rail enclosure measures 45 x 83 mm (board 42.5 x 72 mm).
