Pulse-contact LED dimmer, high-side switched

The PR142x04 converts the pulses of an external pulse contact into a high-side switched PWM output: the lamp is connected between terminal 2 and terminal 6. The switch or pulse contact is connected between terminals 4 and 5, so the lighting is dimmed with a single button. Terminal 6, the supply minus, also serves as the common ground for the signals; the module is not galvanically isolated.

Other version: PR804s08. The PR804s08 from the PR804 series also dims with a single pulse contact, is likewise high-side switched and has the same terminal layout. On that module the lower limit, upper limit and dimming speed are set with trimmers on the board, and the dimming curve is adjustable as well. Its PWM frequency is 120 Hz. Do you want to set the lower limit, upper limit and dimming speed yourself, or adjust the dimming curve? Then choose the PR804. Otherwise the PR142 is sufficient.

PR142 series: PWM dimmers for LED and halogen

The dimmers in the PR142 series convert a potentiometer or a pulse contact into a PWM output, low-side or high-side switched, for dimming LED and halogen lighting. They run on 9 to 30 V DC, so on 12 and 24 V DC systems, deliver up to 5 A at 122 Hz and are suitable for an ambient temperature of 0 to 80 °C. The modules measure 45 x 82 mm.
