Navigation lights monitor for low-power lamps with alarm contact, 25-250 mA
Article number PR153-2
The PR153-2 monitors two low-power navigation lamps, incandescent or LED, with a measuring range of 25 to 250 mA per lamp. As delivered, the alarm threshold is 3.6 W (150 mA at 24 V); it can be adjusted steplessly per lamp with a trimmer, up to 6 W. Each lamp has its own alarm contact and indication contact, so you can see which lamp has failed.

Setup
- Connect the first lamp to Navigation 1: plus to terminal 11 and minus to terminal 9. Connect the supply to terminal 12 (plus) and terminal 9 (0 V).
- Set the alarm threshold of the first lamp with trimmer P1: turning clockwise raises the threshold, anticlockwise lowers it.
- Connect the second lamp to Navigation 2 (terminals 15 and 13) and the supply to terminals 16 and 13.
- Set the alarm threshold of the second lamp in the same way with trimmer P2.
- If the current drawn by a lamp falls below the set threshold, the alarm contact and the indication contact of that lamp open.

PR153: navigation lights monitoring
The PR153 modules monitor the current drawn by two navigation lamps. As long as a lamp works, the alarm contact (NC) and the indication contact (NO) are closed. If the current falls below the set threshold, both contacts open. The threshold is set per lamp with trimmers P1 and P2; turning clockwise raises it. Alarm and indication outputs are galvanically isolated from the inputs. The modules run on 24 V DC (±20 %) at 0 to 80 °C; dimensions 45 x 82 mm. If you use many identical lamps, we can preset the module for you.
The PR153 monitors lamps up to 30 W per lamp (measuring current up to 1.25 A); the threshold is set to 2.6 W (112 mA at 24 V) on delivery. The PR153-2 is for low-power lamps: measuring range 25 to 250 mA, adjustable up to 6 W, threshold on delivery 3.6 W (150 mA at 24 V).
