The PR177 converts a 4-20 mA signal into a ten-segment LED bar, so that the position of a spud pole or rudder, for example, can be seen at a glance. At 4 mA only the first segment is lit, at 20 mA all ten. The lower and upper limits are set with the MIN and MAX trimmers on the board. Brightness stays the same regardless of the supply voltage; the LED bar comes in red (PR177s01) and green (PR177s02).

Setup

Connect the supply to terminal 1 (+24 V) and terminal 2 (0 V), and the 4-20 mA signal to terminal 3 (plus) and terminal 2 (minus).
As delivered, only the first segment is lit at 4 mA and all ten at 20 mA.
Upper limit: turn the MAX trimmer clockwise to raise the upper limit.
Lower limit: turn the MIN trimmer clockwise to raise the lower limit.
All segments off at 4 mA: turn the MIN trimmer anticlockwise until the first segment goes out.
